ABOUT THIS SITE Hello and welcome to Kids Fun Corner http://www.kidsfuncorner.com I am an Australian artist & art teacher + Grandmother, fulfilling a wish to provide positive creative learning activities for children, through fun, play, storytelling and music. In March 2008 I set up a site http://www.artintegrity.wordpress.com giving free art lessons, based on 30+ years of teaching. This is kept updated and has had a very positive response and led to wonderful feedback and interaction worldwide. This site has been launched in 2010, being a paid site that can support animated stories, audio and interactive games, all with educational content. Full of songs, stories and rich in encouraging opportunities and activities, I'm sure you will be delighted! Also sincere thanks for support to my partner & fellow artist, Tony La Spina, who shares my appreciation of children and to my family for all their encouragement and involvement. I have, since 1985, been writing and illustrating books for children, beginning with a hand-made edition of 500 copies of "Bush Sprites of Australia" in 1986. This was awarded recognition by the Riso Education Foundation in Japan and has enjoyed a reprint, along with its sequel "Forest Sprites of Australia". Various animated versions of these can now be seen in the "Spriteland" section here. Like many of us,I am lucky enough to be still in touch with my inner child. A solitary childhood in the bush provided ample time to imagine and dream, and this (rightly or wrongly) has become a lifelong habit. Many practical skills have been assimilated along the way (eg. touch typing & learning animation) and these in turn have helped manifest creative imagination into forms such as this website. I sincerely hope this site will engender creativity and an appreciation of all the miracles of life in our precious children, who are of course miracles themselves!
